Singapore Cardiologist – Dr Lee Chee Wan | Cardiac Centre International

Dr Lee Chee Wan is a senior consultant cardiologist in Singapore and the medical director of Cardiac Centre International (CCI) at Mount Elizabeth Orchard. He is one of the few cardiologists in Singapore with both a medical degree and a PhD in cardiovascular research. Dr Lee specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions including heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias), coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension,and high cholesterol (dyslipidaemia).​

As a cardiac electrophysiologist in Singapore, Dr Lee performs advanced heart procedures such as catheter ablation, pacemaker implantation, defibrillator implantation, loop recorder insertion, and coronary angiograms. He also provides heart screening, preventive cardiology, and long-term management of cardiovascular conditions.​

Dr Lee graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney under the Australian Government John Crawford Scholarship. He completed postgraduate medical training in Oxford and specialist cardiology training in Cambridge, United Kingdom, where he received the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Cardiology. He later received the Wellcome Trust Fellowship and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in cardiovascular research from the University of Oxford.​

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and has published research in international peer-reviewed cardiology journals.​

Dr Lee underwent further subspecialty training in cardiac electrophysiology and pacing at Toronto General Hospital in Canada. He previously served as Head of the Department of Cardiology, Director of the Cardiovascular Centre, Director of the Coronary Care Unit, and lead for pacing and electrophysiology at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.​

He has also been a visiting consultant at the National Heart Centre Singapore and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore, where he was involved in teaching medical students and trainees.

Dr Lee currently practises at Cardiac Centre International (CCI) located at Mount Elizabeth Orchard, Singapore. He maintains visiting rights at National Heart Centre, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, and can perform cardiac procedures at these institutions based on patient preference.​
